Only Human?

It’s been some time since I’ve written, and so I’d like to make a comeback talking about something a little different.

Being a human.

What does that mean?

Being a human means you have the ability to make decisions. You have the ability to know and to choose. You have the ability to overcome your fears or to shy away from them. You have the ability to speak up or stay quiet. You have the ability to comfort and to destroy. You have the ability to feel, and think. We’re given many abilities which makes us the best of creation. It also makes us imperfect.

Being human is making mistakes. Being human is learning from what we do wrong. We fall and we stand. We break and we repair. We hurt and we love. We see a problem and we solve it according to our own individual minds. That makes us powerful. It makes us knowledgable. It makes us who we are.

So we’re always learning. Everyone of us whether mother, daughter, son, father, brother, sister, orphan. We’re learning, not to be each other, or to be like each other. But we’re learning to live not just be alive. Each generation will learn differently, and each generation will have different definitions of what living means. But one thing that will never change is that being human is being imperfect.

Yes, we fall, but then we pray and by the will of Allah we become stronger. Yes we cry, but with his divine help we find an indescribable comfort in prayer. We struggle, and he helps us make a decision. The prophets of the past each tell a story which helps us learn. They help us stand up when we fall because like us, they were human. Let’s stop looking at each other, looking at her and him, pointing fingers, and let’s look at ourselves. Let’s stop pushing each other down, and start helping each other become better because that’s the only way this Ummah can stand strong.

We’re humans. We can love. We can support. We can push. We can strengthen. We can educate. We can help. We can believe. We can PRAY. Let’s learn from the best to reach the best potential that Allah has placed within us.

May Allah guide us and make us successful in all we do. May he make it easy for us to see what is good and what is not. May he make us the best we can be in order to please him. Ameen.

Knowing

To know what makes you successful is something we all wish we knew. I can’t promise you success and I can’t promise you the best money can buy, but I know that the best things come from knowing the creator. To know yourself, to know that it’s okay to love the body Allah has given you, comes from knowing him. It’s not about what society has taught us to believe about ourselves. It’s not about knowing the latest songs or trends. It’s about knowing the one who made it possible for you to even breathe.

When you find the belief that Allah is always with you, you will find knowingness of him. You will know what faith is. You’ll find yourself thanking him for all the good, and asking of him through the rough. You may not always have money, or the best the world can offer, but if you know yourself through knowing your Lord you’ll feel content with what he has given. You’ll feel your hearts contentment. That you’ve found the peace that nothing materialistic can offer. It’s a difinitive peace that can only come from knowing the one who created you.

It’s better to be poor and strong in faith than rich and on haram money with no knowingness. Why? Because the knowing that Allah is with you, that you have a duty on this earth, is something much greater than any riches money can buy. It’s knowing the difference between living and just being alive.

To know him, you have to believe that you’re prayers are heard, that your actions are seen, that he will not let you down. You have to know that Allah will make of the situation what is best for you. You can want, but Allah will give you what you need. You can ask of him, but know that he hears you. Know that he listens to every prayer made through the silent tears shed. Believe in him. Know that he is aware of your hearts state and know that he is the one who can make way for you. Know that he is the only one who you can rely on without being left broken, hurt or upset. He will bring you to the ones who love you and deserve you. Don’t assume you can make it through a battling world alone. Allah is there. Know it.

And when my servants ask you about me (oh Muhammed) I AM NEAR, I answer the call when he calls on me, and have faith in me, that they may be rightly guided (Qur’an 2:186)

Those busy days

For when you have those busy days where you feel like you can hardly fit in time to eat. Those days where you feel like you haven’t sat down and relaxed at all. Those days where you can hardly think because you’re just on the go all day. Those days when all you want to do is go home, get into a onesie and have a comforting meal, and a warming cup of tea at the end of your busy day.

For those days how many times do you make a conscious effort to remember the reason you’re able to be busy? The reason you’re able to  walk to where you need to be, talk to who you need to talk to, write what you need to, see what you need to… Breathe as you need to. How many times do we remember the ultimate reason we’re doing what we’re doing?

Yes, it’s a deep thought to think. But it’s essential to keep it in our minds even when we’re having those busy days. We should remember to start and end in the name of the one who is ultimately in control of what were busy with. We should make an effort to pray on time. Wherever we may be, and we shouldn’t feel embarrassed or ashamed of that. We may be busy but we should never be too busy to pray. Because that’s where true success lies.

All your busy days, weeks, months, are wasted if you haven’t worshipped the one who allows you to busy. The one who allows you to breathe and speak and talk and walk and hear. The one who gives you the ability to do whatever it is you’re doing. So remember him in all you do. Remember your ultimate goals and bring Allah into your intentions and remember those intentions. It is easy to forget and we aren’t made perfect. We will forget sometimes and we will trip up but as long as we always return back to our vision as Muslims, and we make an effort to remember our creator in all we do, Insha’Allah Allah will forgive us and make us successful in all we do, and ultimately in the hereafter. Ameen. You’ll find comfort in praying on those busy days, as if it’s a mental and spiritual recharge.

May Allah grant us jannah and forgive us for all we may do. May he purify our intentions and hearts. May he give us success in all we do. May he bring us closer to those we love and guide us. Ameen.

‘Everything is beautifully planned within his knowledge’

At some point everything may feel lost, all over the place, and at this point we may begin to feel hopeless, the tears begin to fall and we feel like we’re left in limbo. However the importance of remembering Allah at these points in life is crucial. Yes it is hard, and yes it can get tiresome, but Allah knows what he is doing. He knows what lies in your heart and he knows what you want, but perhaps what it is you want isn’t always best.

We may plan, but Allah is the best of planners.

Subhanallah, Allah may bring things to you at times where you least expect it. It may not seem clear at the time, but afterward, once resolved the picture gains focus, and the happiness and content you will feel from trusting Allah through your confusion will uplift you in a way that can only be understood through feeling. Allah hears you. The most silent of prayers. He hears them. He will put things before you when it is best for you. All we can do is pray for what is best for us, work hard, and trust him and his plan. For he is our creator, surely he knows what is best for us. Like the leaves on an autumn tree, they begin to fall and become bare. Then by the will of Allah, soon after, the tree blossoms once again, and green leaves form.  Similarly, we may begin to fall and stumble, We may lose things or people close to us, but with prayer and trust in him, our leaves will eventually grow back. Perhaps not in the same way as before, but in a way that will beautify us, and will Insha’Allah make us better Muslims.

True happiness is felt within. Put your full trust in him, pray to him, talk to him, and you will begin to see the blossoms form.

He will guide you toward your missing piece. Just remain patient and hopeful in him and his plan Insha’Allah.

May Allah guide us and grant us Jannah. May he forgive us for all we may have done. May he grant us a place in Jannah and protect us from all evil. May he make us successful in this life and in the hereafter. And may he bring us closer to those we love. Ameen.

Faith in Allah

Having faith in Allah is believing that he is in control of what happens in our lives. We’ve got to remember that things happen for a reason and if our belief in Allah is evidently there then we have to trust him. Things might not always go to plan but believe in him and tell him what it is you’re working for and know whatever happens after that, is for the best. We need to believe that he is the one who sees everything we do. He knows our intentions and he knows what our hearts yearn for. He understands that we aren’t perfect human beings and he understands that we we have overpowering emotions, and that we make mistakes. But learn from those mistakes. Understand that Allah is with you wherever you are. He knows how you feel and what you’re thinking. He knows what it is you want but he will still listen when you ask him. He wants you to ask of him more. To believe in him to fully put your heart in his hands. And remember if you have Allah in your heart, you have everything you need to get what it is that you want in this life and in the hereafter. You just have to work toward it and pray for it.
Nobody promises that it will be easy. But having faith in him is moving forward even when you’re scared or unsure of what might happen. Follow your heart and keep praying and Insha’Allah you’ll get to where it is you want to be. Just have faith and trust in Allah. Stay patient with prayer and keep asking him. Constantly. Talk to him when you’re down, call upon your creator, because he will respond. Even if you don’t see it immediately know that he is there closer to you than your jugular vein so believe in him. You may not always be feeling particularly ‘religious’, and it’s normal for your faith to fluctuate, but if you let that faith in Allah remain in your heart no matter what, there is hope for you. Just pray and you’ll find that your closeness to Allah will get better. And that feeling of peace that Allah will bring to you when you trust him during hardship is something truly indescribable. You’ll only know once you’ve experienced it. The love of Allah is irreplaceable. So treasure it and work toward it and Insha’Allah , with his help, we will get where we need to be and we will achieve what it is we want to.
May Allah guide us and grant us jannah. May he forgive us for all the wrong we may have done. May he help us become successful in this life and in the hereafter. May he protect us from the evils of this world, the hellfire, and the deceptions of shaytan. May he grant our parents the highest of Jannah and may he give us strength to face the challenges of this world. Ameen.

Your own path to God

Every individual has their own story, their own views on life, and their own unique connection with god. Some may have not found their path to Allah yet, and some may have found their deepest connection with their lord earlier than others. You can find Allah through anything; sometimes he may test you to bring you back to him, you may find him through simply seeing something that inspires you, even through the acts of someone else. However you may find a path to your creator, let it be a reminder for you. When you’re feeling your faith is dipping, remind yourself of how Allah brought you closer to him. Remind yourself that no matter what there is always hope for you. Even if you feel like your sins have overtaken the good within you, know that Allah is all forgiving. Just believe in him, and repent, and if you’re sincere, you’re likely to feel a connection with your creator that nothing can compare to. faith Remember him in all you do, and when you feel like you’re slipping into the desires of this world too much, go back to that spot where you pray, and remember him, how your lord saved you when you fell and hit the lowest points, how he inspired hope in you after you prayed, how he forgives when you sin, how he’s there for you 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Allah is always there for you, watching you, knowing of every breath you take. Thank Allah for bringing you back into the light when you were lost in darkness. Its normal for your faith to feel like its dipping. Its unlikely that its always at a high point, but as long as you try, and you don’t let yourself fall into the likes of this world too much, insha’allah Allah will save us. You may find that the one big sin you committed, is the one thing that brought you back to Allah in the end. So we shouldn’t  judge someone based on their sins, because most of us may have a past. We can only pray for them and offer them a friend who will help guide them, because that could be all they need. As a muslim ummah we should be helping one another become better, rather than judging and dividing ourselves.

May Allah guide us and grant us Jannah. May he help us in all we do and grant us success in this world and in the hereafter. May he bring us closer to those we love and forgive all the sins we may have committed. Ameen

Here are 2 of my favourite videos on youtube that never fail to inspire faith in me when I’m feeling a little low.

Hope after Failure

trust

There will always be things that don’t go the way we may have hoped. There will always be failures in life, but those fails only teach us. They make us stronger and allow us to learn from our mistakes. So they shouldn’t be seen as failures, rather as attempts. Maybe they teach you something, and maybe they reveal mistakes that you can then work upon. Either way we shouldn’t let our failures dishearten us. It can be difficult when your efforts seem to have not payed off, and it can be upsetting and frustrating, but Allah is always with you. He puts us in situations for a reason, you just have to trust him. And even if you do want to cry then cry in your prayers. Allah will listen to you, he won’t ignore your call. He is there for you all the time, so put your trust in him. Confide in your creator, the one who has power over all.

When you have failed, ask Allah for help and guidance, and work upon rectifying your mistakes. Its not the end of the world if you fail, theres always a second option. Even if that second option isn’t what you wanted, remember your lord in everything you do, and insha’allah he will make it easy for you. Ask Allah for what you want, and thank him for all that he has given you. They say to never underestimate the power of dua, and its true. You may feel like your dua’s aren’t being accepted right now, but think about it. Allah is listening to everything you’re saying, he knows exactly how your feeling when nobody else does, and he can hear everything you say. Subhanallah. So talk to your lord and ask him for help for guidance and for direction, and insha’allah he will guide us towards whats best. Never let your failures doubt your trust in Allah, because it could just be a test from him, to test your faith. So turn to him and ask of him more, tell your lord what you want because Allah loves those who remember him.

Don't be sad, Allah is with us

Don’t be sad, Allah is with us (Quran 9;40)

A world of deception

We live in a world filled with lies, something that was set up to make us fall down. To test us. A place where everything that seems to be bad can be seen as fun and good, and everything that is good can be seen as lame. We’re put in a place where theres a lot against us. A place where people live as if there is nothing left after death. But the truth is that this life is only temporary. A world made by The Almighty to test us. This world is made to knock you down, it was made to test your faith in Allah, to test your love for him. filled with deceptions of the shaytan, but keep strong in the faith of Allah. Hold on tightly to his rope, and when you feel yourself slipping too far into the dunya, then read quran. Read it in a language that you understand, listen to it. The words of your lord in a book sent to guide mankind. Let his holy text enter your heart and bring you back to the reality that your worldly indulgences aren’t forever.

It can be dangerous to fall too far into this dunya because eventually you will slip away from the one who created you. Remember him often, and remember him in all you do. Establish your salah to avoid forgetting your purpose in this life. Remember where you came from, remember who controls the breaths you take and who is in control of everything you have. Talk to your creator, one of the best parts of islam is that you have your creator closer to you than your jugular vein, a lord you can talk to about anything, any time of the day, and the best thing is that he already knows what you’re going to say. Just remember Allah in your daily life and avoid things that take you away from him. He is the one that judges you when your book of deeds are opened. So please him before anyone else. Don’t let this worldly life make you forget your true purpose.

Quran-Guidance-to-humanity

Allah may test you, but he is always close to you. He sent us the Quran and the prophet (pbuh) as a guidance, so use them. Ask Allah for strength and guidance, in a world filled with deceptions. Stay strong in your faith and remember that just because the whole world may be doing something wrong, it doesn’t make it right. May Allah guide us and grant us Jannah. May he make us successful in all we do and give us the best in this life and in the hereafter. May he forgive all our sins and bring us closer to those we love. May he help us to do good and bring us closer to him. Ameen.

Thankful

Being thankful isn’t always so common. We usually pray our most when were in need of something or when were in trouble, then once the almighty clears our path for us, we can slowly begin to decrease our concentration in prayer. But we shouldn’t. We should remember what Allah has done for us, all he has given us, and all he has blessed us with. Allah has blessed us with Islam, and with the knowledge that he is the one, the all hearing, the all seeing, the all knowing, and his attributes go on.

Allah is the one who puts you in the position you are in, and even though that may be difficult, thank him for everything he has blessed you with alongside that, then ask him for his help and ask of him. your lord always hears you, and he loves you to ask of him and to be thankful to him. No matter how difficult a situation may be thank Allah for all the blessings he’s given you, and if you feel like you have nothing worldly to be thankful for, thank him for blessing you with iman and faith. He has chosen you to be guided, he has given you a chance to get to Jannah, so don’t blow that chance.

‘The beautiful thing about communicating with your lord is that you don’t always have to put your feelings into words.’

Allah has picked you to follow islam and he has given you guidance to do so, to make it easy. So thank him. Thank him for the Quran and all it contains, its help, its guidance, its comfort, its hope. Thank him for the gift of Salah, being able to talk to your lord 5 times a day. Thank him for the power of dua, communicating with your creator any time you want and anywhere you want, whatever state you’re in. Thank him for being able to breathe, for life. Thank him for the people you love and ask him to keep those people close to you and to always keep those people happy. Thank him for guiding you and making you able to ask of him. Glorify and worship Allah in a way that will make your life content. Seek happiness and peace through his guidance, and seek comfort through prayer. Thank him for bringing you out of the darkness and into the light, thank him for helping you when you were at your lowest point, and thank him for being there when everyone else failed to soothe your aching heart.

Alhamdulillah

Remember everything happens by his will, you can ask him of what you want and you can tell him what it is you’re feeling. and the amazing thing is, he already knows what it is you’re going to ask of, but he wants you to talk to him. Subhanallah. May Allah guide us and grant us Jannah. May he forgive us for all the wrong we may have done and protect us from all evil. May he bring us closer to those we love and may he help the muslim ummah come together. Ameen.
