The life in this world seems to have a magnetic power that can draw us in easily, sometimes without us even realising. It can devour the heart with materialistic items and temporary affairs that we start to feel attached to. It’s dangerously attractive to us and makes us vulnerable to the temptations of shaytan. Unfortunately, a lot of the time, people tend to fall so hard after the desires of this world that they forget their true purpose. They forget who put whatever they have before them, they forget the one that gives them the ability to breathe. Allah. And once you forget Allah, you’ll lose all blessing and good in what you do.
We need to remember him in all we do, and we need to remember to thank him for all we have, in order to stop us from falling for the deceptions of shaytan. Allah is testing us. No matter what may happen, it happens for a reason. We have to keep trust in Allah and we need to stay strong in our faith in order to keep islam in our hearts. It’s easy to become sidetracked with all that life throws at us, but find it with in yourself to look for goodness in everything, and no matter what situation you find yourself in, keep asking Allah to guide you toward what is right. Don’t feel like he won’t listen because you may have sinned too much. Ask for forgiveness, forgive yourself, and ask for help and guidance from your creator. The one you can be completely vulnerable and open with. The all knowing, the most merciful, the most kind.
Think before you act, and learn to live rather than just being alive by keeping Islam close to your heart.
May Allah guide us and grant us jannah. May he forgive us for all we may have done. May he help us to be successful in this life and in the hereafter, and may he protect us from all evil. May he bring us closer to those we love and save us from the fire. Ameen.
‘Remember me and I will remember you’ (quran 2:152)
